It’s not just the Tuscan sun that has soaked into the walls of Belvedere over the years. Rub your hands over the villa’s stone walls and you can almost feel the history that has been trapped here too.
Located in the heart of a working wine estate in Chianti Classico, this ancient watchtower has been restored and refurbished to offer the authentic feel of a Tuscan farmhouse.
Its huge 14x7m marbled travertine pool is the perfect place to cool off from the sun and admire the olive groves, cypress trees and rolling hills. Lazy afternoons can be spent relaxing in the shade of the large pergola or sauntering to the nearby village of Greve. The cultural delights of Florence are easily accessible if you can manage to tear yourself away.
Ascend the garden’s stone steps to enter the welcoming Tuscan villa. Its living room overlooks the tranquil surrounding countryside. The elegant but robust country kitchen is perfect for cooking up a feast. The attic houses a double bedroom and bathroom, with a further four bedrooms (one twin, one double and two single) and two contemporary-styled bathrooms on the first floor.
Belvedere is completely secluded at the end of its private drive. The landscaped garden is a pleasure haven scented by Mediterranean aromatic essences and old English roses. During the day, a large loggia offers welcome shelter for a siesta, but make sure you wake in time for sunset o’clock. Head to the sun terrace, pour that wine, sit back and let the glory wash over you.
