About La Bergerie de Tanneron
Tucked amid the sprawling mimosa forests of the Tanneron hills, La Bergerie de Tanneron is completely hidden from view. Feeling far from the clamour of Cannes this 18th-century stone farmhouse has been quietly renovated to perfection. It offers a tempting taste of country life near the French Riviera. The ancient stone of the traditional Cote d’Azur villa has been finished with subtle touches of antique and contemporary furnishings.
Tiled floors and exposed stone walls give the entire interior an authentic historic feel. The four first-floor bedrooms are pleasingly minimal but remarkably comfortable. While you play pool in the living room, your designated chef cooks up a feast in the villa’s spacious stainless steel kitchen.
Outdoors, the secluded grounds include a salt-water swimming pool and a private tennis court. Planted with olive trees, rosemary, myrtle, jasmine and lavender, the gardens are beautifully maintained. Two large mulberry plants in front of the house also offer some welcome shade on the lawn. The house itself is draped with climbing plants, and a rose garden and fruit trees decorate the area around the pool.
Nearby, the village of Tanneron offers a bakery and grocery store, as well as a small selection of cafes and restaurants. For an afternoon excursion, we can recommend visiting the misty waterfall and shimmering lake of Saint-Cassien.
Perfect for a secluded getaway, La Bergerie de Tanneron is one of our top recommendations for those seeking a near self-contained private escape in the south of France.
